Though finding out her parents were getting divorced was quite a shock, Brooke Hogan seems to have weathered the storm and come out on the other side a stronger woman.

And yesterday (September 11) she was spotted hanging out with her dad’s new girlfriend Jennifer McDaniel for some active quality time together.

The “Brooke Knows Best” starlet and Hulk’s new lady took a trip to their Miami gym for a workout before grabbing some lunch and heading out to the shops for some retail therapy.

Brooke recently told FOX Pop Tarts’ Hollie McKay that she’s glad her father found love in the midst of his marital pain. “My dad is really into his new girlfriend Jennifer — she is awesome.  Things are pretty serious between them — my father isn’t the type to jump around from girl to girl. He’s always been a very monogamous creature.”

As for her own healing, Hogan says that her friends have made all the difference in the world. “I just have to constantly surround myself with friends — you don’t need drugs to get through the hard times when you have people that make you laugh.  They make light of all my bad situations. When my parents divorced, my friends were all like ‘hey, at least you can move out now.’”

I’m gettin away and goin to LA! City of the angels baby! lol …named after me, of course! I’m going for the VMAs but I’m gonna take some time out there to chill and relax, go to some of my favorite places that I haven’t been to since I lived there! PINKBERRYYYYY WHERE ART THOU!?!?! LOL I miss it….I had such a good time living there…I might have to do the part time thing…Miami and LA have two TOTALLY different energies but energies that fit very well with mine! “Only 54 percent of eligible American voters cast their ballots!!!!!! Half of them are only voting cause it’s ‘cool’ to vote for so and so…they aren’t even up to date on information. I’m personally not up to date on the facts, so I don’t wanna make a stupid choice for our country. I WANT to vote but only when I know exactly whats going on. More ppl should think like that. Brooke Hogan is shaping up. The 5-foot-11 star of the new VH1 reality series Brooke Knows Best has recently lost more than a dress size, reports Life & Style Weekly. The blonde reality TV star has been offered a spot in Playboy Magazine and is considering it, according to earlier reports.

“I’m in such good shape,” Brooke, who’s also working on her second album, tells Life & Style. The secret? “I’m very healthy,” says Brooke, who loses weight slowly to make sure it stays off. “I eat super clean, all organic.” Her diet consists of small meals and snacks several times a day, including faves like tuna with low-fat mayo, grapes and walnuts and salad, fruit and almonds.

“I eat whenever my body tells me I need something,” explains Brooke, 20, “but I try not to eat too late at night. If I do, no carbs.” When she’s in weightloss crunch mode, Brooke also cuts out all bread and refined sugar. But even a health nut like Brooke splurges now and then. “Sometimes I get the biggest bowl of pasta I can eat,” she admits.

The magazine notes that Brooke says it is not just about food. Exercise is also an important part of Brooke’s routine. She works out six days a week, usually in the morning and often with her super-fit dad, wrestler Hulk Hogan, 55. “Exercise combats cellulite,” she tells Life & Style. “I’m not a size 0, but I know everything’s toned.”

Life & Style notes in the report that to get that way, Brooke does 30 minutes of cardio and an hour of weightlifting supersets (back-to-back reps). Plus, she works on her core with tons of crunches, so she can flaunt her abs in low-rider pants and tiny bikinis.

Along with her lifestyle, Brooke also has a healthy attitude about her body: “Sometimes I want to be a thin model. But I’m happy with my body — I think every girl looks at herself and wishes something else. I know I’ve got a beautiful body!”
